B&B inns take guest health and safety seriously and share the benefits of staying in small properties in wake of COVID-19. Our Bed & Breakfast Innkeepers of Colorado member inns take your health and safety seriously each and every day. As members of BBIC, these quality-oriented member inns are required to uphold important standards as members. While COVID-19, known as the Coronavirus, has impacted our country, we wanted to share what our members are doing to make your stay the best it can be. Small properties provide pleasant experiences without the crowds of larger properties. With gas prices at an all-time low, a road excursion or stay-cation might just be a great option. And, remember that you can also book ahead for other dates in 2020 to assure that you’ll have the best choice of rooms in the busy season. Many of our members are also offering special discount deals, so check out their individual websites for details. Visit InnsofColorado.org for direct links to official websites and individual availability calendars.
Antlers On the Creek, Durango
“The safety, health and well-being of our guests and staff are paramount. We’ve focused our attention on enhanced routine cleaning in preparation. With less guest traffic than hotels and larger lodging accommodations, more proactive and preventive measures in place and space for couples to relax alone, you can still get away with peace of mind. We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and have taken extra levels of sanitary precautions so you can feel at ease during your stay. We sincerely appreciate the trust you place in us when you travel.”
Claremont Inn & Winery, Stratton
“We have always offered private tables for dinner and breakfast, so group dining has not been an issue for us – however – wine tastings all happen together at the tasting bar… and as much fun as that is… we are offering to do individual tastings for couples at their dining tables so they are not missing out on anything if they are more comfortable with that set up. We are also offering hand wipes and sanitizer.”
Carr Manor, Cripple Creek
“Here at the Carr Manor, we have been cleaning all room surfaces with anti-bacterial wipes after guests have checked out and are using anti-bacterial wipes on all common area door knobs and light switches every day. We are offering more flexibility in cancellations and moving reservations to other dates.”
Avenue Hotel Bed & Breakfast, Manitou Springs
“At the Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast we are taking the extra steps to disinfect all surfaces, door knobs, hand rails, light switches, faucets, blinds, alarm clocks and remotes in every room and common areas every day. If guests would prefer breakfast in their room we are delivering breakfast in room. Dishes run on sanitizing cycle of the dishwasher. Rooms are stripped after every check out and aired out. Replacing mattress pad, pillow covers and shower curtains, robes and sheets with clean disinfected laundry. Occupied guest rooms are also cleaned and disinfected. As a small property, these measures are easy to accomplish daily. Cleaning has always been a priority and we are just taking extra steps for the comfort and safety of our guests. All of our employees are long term, with 6 years the shortest duration of employment, therefore they care more and are more diligent in their work than large hotel chain employees. All employees wear a different set of gloves for each room they clean.”
Holden House 1902 Bed & Breakfast Inn, Colorado Springs
“We love making our guests happy here at the inn and guests are an important part of the Holden House family. Enjoyment and safety are of the utmost importance. As a AAA Diamond “Inspected” property, we continue to receive excellent housekeeping ratings, including an award for “AAA Housekeeping Excellence”. Some of the above and beyond steps include hand towelettes for guests at breakfast and optional breakfast en suite packages, individual guestroom refrigerators and dine-in delivery options, individual snack plates offered during our wine social and bottomless ensuite cookie plates for guests, and finally, we are following CDC guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing all guest and food preparation areas. As a member of an organization like BBIC, quality standards have been and will always be a priority.”
