SOCIAL MEDIA TAKING HOLD FOR COLORADO’S B&Bs-INNKEEPERS
The latest in the social media arena is the use of video on websites, and innkeepers in Colorado have discovered the benefits of using videos to better advertise the benefits of traveling bed and breakfasts.
“We love the use of video and, we use it extensively”, says Walt Keller of the Lumber Baron Inn and Gardens in Denver. “Videos and social media are fundamental ways for us to stay connected with our guests that partake in our murder mystery dinner fun. We’re the only operation that actually makes a video the night of the performance and shows it to our guests as a finale. We then post it on You Tube and our website for our guests to view for free and our guests love it!”
”Video allows our inn guests to take a detailed tour of Holden House without ever leaving home”, says Sallie Clark, owner-innkeeper of Holden House 1902 Bed & Breakfast Inn in Colorado Springs. “It’s offered an exceptional and cost effective way for us to increase our web traffic and provide a personalized tour of the inn for potential guests.”
In addition to You Tube videos, many bed and breakfast websites now allow member inns to upload and embed videos directly into their web pages. Check out the following B&B Innkeepers of Colorado member inns to view a variety of videos:
