Spring is in the Air!

BLOSSOM WALK: AN INTRODUCTION TO SPRING – Paonia’s fourth 5K Blossom Walk will be hosted April 20-22 by the Paonia Bed and Breakfast Association. Guests will arrive Friday evening and settle into a bed and breakfast for a weekend of exercise, fresh air, local hospitality and more.

Saturday morning, following a gourmet breakfast, participants will visit the organic orchards of the Kropp Brothers. There you can inhale the aroma of the cherry blossoms (and whatever else is blooming- apricots, plums, peaches, pears, apples) and marvel at their beauty. The Kropp orchards are one of the areas larger organic farms/orchards. Their peaches were featured in a Gourmet magazine article in 2004. Kevin Kropp promises to provide insight into the life of an orchardman and respond to your questions about raising succulent fruit.

The afternoon will be free for participants to pursue activities of their choosing --wine tasting, art studio visitations, cycling, hiking, antique hunting, scenic drives, etc. before coming back to together for tea in the late afternoon. Dinner will be at one of Paonia’s renowned restaurants.

Dates: April 20-22. Cost: The full weekend for two persons sharing a room is $375 (including tax), $270 (including tax) for single occupancy.
