Bed & Breakfast Innkeepers of Colorado Association (BBIC) recently announced the 2005 19th Annual B&B Conference to be held at the Double Eagle Hotel & Casino in historic Cripple Creek, Colorado. The plans for this year’s conference look to be the most exciting yet. November 13th and November 14th, bed & breakfast innkeepers from all over the state and aspiring innkeepers will meet to partake in workshops, food and fun!

On Sunday, November 13th, the Aspiring Innkeepers Day, "Making a Sure Bet on Your Innkeeping Future" will feature seasoned bed and breakfast innkeeper/consultants. Would-be and newly established innkeepers will learn from a variety of topics encompassing the bed and breakfast innkeeping business. Topics will include: Introduction to the B&B Industry, Business Planning, Daily Operations, Marketing Tips, Business and Policies, and Preparing for Success. The Aspiring Innkeepers’ seminar will include a take home workbook. Coordinated and hosted by Bed & Breakfast Innkeepers of Colorado founders, Sallie and Welling Clark of Holden House Bed & Breakfast Inn, the line-up of aspiring day speakers is impressive. Nationally known marketing professional, Marti Mayne, will participate along with innkeeping consultant Kit Cassingham and expert business analyst, Donna Lovelace. It will be a day packed full of practical business tips and seasoned advice. Aspiring day costs will range from $135 to $150 per person, which includes coffee breaks and lunch. Special rates to attend the full conference will be given to aspiring day attendees.

On November 14th, The Bed & Breakfast Innkeepers of Colorado (BBIC) 19th Annual Conference gets underway. BBIC Vice President Debbie Reynolds, says, "We’re really excited about this year’s meeting. The conference, "Stacking the Odds for Inn Success" will feature nationally known speakers who will offer expertise and experience. Monday’s presentations will include marketing, heritage tourism, and various innkeeping topics. The keynote address will be given by Marti Mayne, known throughout the tourism and bed and breakfast industry. She owns Maynely Marketing and has taken 15 years of marketing experience and dedicated it to providing marketing and PR services, specializing in public relations for bed and breakfast inns. Well-known national author Pamela Lanier will also be speaking on marketing and promotion tips. In addition to the conference, Bed & Breakfast Innkeepers of Colorado will host an inn tour/welcome reception and hold their annual business meeting with plenty of networking opportunities. Conference attendance ranges from $50-90 + room rate.
